The Kleins were raised by arguing parents that never really had time for them, so they relied on each other during their childhood. Eventually when Giselle was old enough to move to college, she decided to get legal permission to move into her own home. Taking Frederica along with her, they have their fair share of house duties. Both cook, and clean. But Giselle does most of the bill paying, but has financial assistance.
